Manuel Cohen lives and works between Paris (France) and Barcelona (Spain). An editorial and advertising photographer, he discovered photography at the age of 12 and was one of AGIP’s photographers at the age of 16.
His editorial work is centered on heritage. For several years, he has been compiling a work of memory on the old city of Tortosa, capital of the Ebro Lands in Catalonia, a unique heritage threatened with extinction. With the poet Carles Duarte i Montserrat, he created «Ausencia», a photographic and poetic monograph on absence, abandonment and disappearance. The prints and poems were the subject of an exhibition in November-December 2016 at the French Institute in Barcelona.
