    "Photo London, Stand A04"
from Wednesday, May 14, 2025 to Sunday, May 18, 2025
    Somerset House, Strand, London

We are proud to present a roster of contemporary photographers who explore the limits of the medium, using various techniques (tissage, collage, painting, crayon…) to produce unique works. All of them currently have works in institutional exhibitions.

    • Mona Kuhn (USA): stunning solarized prints.
    • Paolo Ventura (Italy): his style is immediately recognizable. For the past years, he moved from photographs to collages, creating mixed media works with an assemblage of sheets painted with acrylic. The magic is still there.
    • Susanne Wellm (Denmark) explores archival images which she enlarges and cuts into shreds. She then reconstructs the image through weaving. Her solo show at aproche last November was extremely successful.
    • Sophie Zénon (France) is currently on view at the Domaine de Chaumont-sur-Loire. She’ll be showing spectacular large size photograms as well as small pieces evoking plants that were displaced during wars. Those are delicate prints on Japan paper enhanced with pencil, ink, pigments and wax.
    • Patrizia Mussa (Italy) has been working for the past fifteen years on photographing theaters and baroque palaces in Italy. To evoke the magic of these places, she prints on cotton paper and enhances details with pastel. A major exhibition is touring Italy. After the Palazzo Reale in Milan, Palermo, Roma, Paris, it is now at the Palladiana Basilica in Vicenza.
